Funding is about raising money. As a voluntary organisation you tend to want to raise money for three different things. Firstly to enable you to deliver your services or goods to your clients, secondly to raise funds to run the organisation or thirdly to raise funds for other groups. Obviously, there are different places and ways to raise funds. This site focuses on raising funds to run the organisation, specifically for ICT, but also looks at how you can raise funds through the use of ICT.
Full cost - the total cost of providing a service including all the overheads etc.
Cost centred - unit costings based on each service offered
Core - that bit of the organisation dedicated to its running rather than its delivery
Match funding - an amount of money normally expressed as a percentage of the total project cost used as a contribution alongside funding.
